This Huff-Post article starts out claiming:
As a self-proclaimed fat woman herself, Brazilian photographer Mariana Godoy wants to rid the negative stigma from the word “fat” and show that fat can be just as beautiful as any other body type.
First, fat people are not as physically beautiful as any other people. The only thing more nuts that believing that, is trying to convince the world in full color graphic images. Look, I’m fat, bald, short and gray, but I’m not taking my clothes off on the internet to try to convince everyone that I’m as gorgeous as George Clooney. A little common sense needs to prevail. This is a sad case of “the emperor has no clothes on.”
Second, if you are obsessed with physical beauty, you are focusing on one of the least important elements of human beauty. Some of the most beautiful people in the world are most recognized for things like intelligence, charm, empathy, good will, etc. Mother Teresa never made the cover of Glamour magazine, but few will argue that she wasn’t one of the most beautiful people who ever lived.
My advice — ladies, put your clothes back on and show me what it is about you that will make me and everyone around you adore you. These photos only make me think you are deluded, self-absorbed and vain.
